.: Help for tell

The tell command sends a private message to another player.

Usage: 

  tell  

Example:

  > tell Charles Hey, want to group up?
  You tell Charles, "Hey, want to group up?"

  Output to Charles:
  Charles tells you, "Hey, want to group up?"

Related Commands:

  otell   - Out-of-character private message
  reply  - Reply to the last person who messaged you

Channel Settings:

Use config channel tell  to control where tells appear.
See help channels for more information about channel configuration.

Note: If a player has tells muted, you will be notified that they are not
currently receiving tells. Admin messages always go through regardless of
the recipient's channel settings.
