.: Help for retreat
The retreat command backs away from melee combat to create distance.
Usage:
retreat
Back away from all melee engagements
Why Retreat? - Ranged weapons cannot be used in melee. If an enemy advances on you while
you're using a bow or other ranged weapon, you must retreat before attacking.
- Create distance before fleeing the room - Switch from melee to ranged combat style
Important Notes:
- You must be balanced to retreat
- Retreating breaks melee with ALL current melee partners
- After retreating, you remain in combat but at range
- Enemies may advance back into melee after you retreat
Balance Cost:
- Players: 3 seconds
- NPCs: 5 seconds (varies by creature)
Tactical Uses:
- Switch to ranged weapons after being caught in melee
- Create distance before fleeing
- Force enemies to spend time advancing again
- Reposition during group combat
