Help for new players

Welcome to Willowdale. Here are the basics to get you started.

Movement:

Move by typing a direction: north, south, east, west, up, down. Diagonal directions: northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest. Shortcuts: n, s, e, w, u, d, ne, nw, se, sw.

Numpad directions also work:

  7 NW    8 N    9 NE
  4 W     5 look 6 E
  1 SW    2 S    3 SE

Looking Around:

  look            See the current room and its exits.
  look     Examine something in the room more closely.

Items and Interaction:

  get       Pick up an item from the ground.
  drop      Drop an item from your inventory.
  use       Use an item you are carrying.
  wear      Equip a piece of armor or clothing.
  wield     Equip a weapon.
  list            See what a merchant has for sale.

Useful Commands:

  inventory       See what you are carrying.
  equipment       See what you have equipped.
  score           View your character stats and level.
  skills          See your available skills (common, class, and passives).
  map             Display a map of the surrounding area.
  who             See who else is online.
  chat   Talk to other players on the global chat channel.
