.: Help for journal
The journal command shows everything your character has read, written, or recorded along the way - books, documents, quests, rumors, observations, and personal notes - all in one place.
World entries are added automatically. Reading a library-worthy book or note records it in your journal so you can come back to it later, even if the original is no longer in the world. Personal notes you add yourself.
Usage:
journal
Show the front page - one row per section with how many entries it holds.
journal
List entries in a section. Sections: books, documents, quests,
rumors, observations, notes. Singular forms and prefixes also
work (doc resolves to documents, rum to rumors).
journal
Read entry n in that section. Entry numbers are stable - books in a
series stay together as new volumes are added, so a remembered number
keeps pointing at the same entry.
journal page
Jump to page N of the listing when a section spans multiple pages.
Reading books:
Multi-page books re-open at the page you last viewed.
journal books next Step to the next page.
journal books prev Step to the previous page.
journal books Jump straight to page p.
Personal notes:
journal add
Write a note in your own voice. The room you are standing in is recorded
as the note's location.
e.g. journal add Kellen glanced east when I asked about the Withering.
journal remove
Delete one of your own notes (defaults to the notes section).
journal remove
Delete a personal entry from a specific section. Only your own notes
can be removed - world-sourced entries (books, documents, etc.) stay
forever.
